The UJK Router Collet Extension solves a common issue when using routers inverted in a table: even fully plunged, the collet often sits below the table surface, limiting cutting depth. This precision extension uses standard ER20 engineering collets, which grip over a 1mm diameter range without losing accuracy. Supplied with a 1/2" shank collet and compatible with 8mm, 1/4" (6.35mm), and 1/8" (3.2mm) shanks, it provides a safer, more stable cut with less vibration. The collet nut includes an ejection ring for fast, easy cutter changes, and the extension supports speeds up to 18,000?RPM. Tip: Insert the collet extension at least 2/3 of the way in and up to the K line. For best practice always start your router on the slowest speed, test the cutter set up on a piece of scrap timber, increasing the speed gradually to get the best cut. Take note of any vibration that becomes apparent, reduce your router's speed if there is any vibration.
