Handles:

• The SOV-22 - Designed for turners who enjoy working further away from the project. It is particularly useful for deep hollow forms and is a favourite with those who use the Sovereign Ultima - the extra long handle providing fantastic support.
• The SOV-16 - This handle is equally at home providing added comfort when stretching to the bottom of long vases or adding that stability often required with many turning techniques. Its length provides that added leverage and additional support. Probably the most popular Sovereign handle.
• The SOV-12 - The newest of the Sovereign handles, At 12" in length this handle delivers control at close range making it ideal for smaller projects.
• The handles are made of aluminium and alloy in combination to give the best of strength, balance and vibration dampening qualities.
• Each handle comes with a durable Softex grip for extra comfort. Additional knurling provides a further non-slip surface. The Sovereign handles and collet system are ideal for quick change from one tool to another. At the same time they enable the turner to lengthen or shorten the tool length.

Accessories:

• There a several optional extras with the Sovereign System. Whilst the handles are beautiful balanced some turners like a bit of extra weight for control and hence there is a counterweight to fit both handles. For extra control a side handle is also offered. This can be used either on the side or top of the tool in use. For those requiring an even longer handle there is also a threaded coupler which enables the turner to fit two handles together for extra leverage.
• The system which now boasts almost 50 blades, four collets and three handle variations makes it easily the most widely adaptable system on the market today.
• Until now the Sovereign system has been limited to round shanked tools such as bowl gouges and spindle gouges. This latest advancement from Robert Sorby now equips the Sovereign with a full range of tools – including blades from the new Excelsior series.
• When combined with Robert Sorby’s new Excelsior tungsten carbide busting titanium nitride (TiN) range and the highly rated Sovereign Ultima hollowing tool, the new Sovereign series can rightly claim to be the most comprehensive handled system available on the market today.
• Flat tang tools fit directly into the SOV-CT

SOV-CT Sovereign Tang Collet Adapter

• The SOV-CT ensures a firm fit for Robert Sorby flat tang tools. Tools that fit this collet include square end scrapers, hardwood scrapers, round nose scrapers, diamond / side scrapers, curved scrapers and box scrapers, oval and standard skews, the standard and fluted parting tools and the spindle and continental roughing gouges.

SOV-C06 Sovereign Collet Adapter 1/4" (6mm)

• The SOV-C06 has the narrowest apperture and is suitable for the 1/4" spindle gouge. There are also a few tools that require no collet and fit directly into the 5/8" shank end of the Sovereign handle. Among these are the 1/2" and 1/4" bowl gouges, the 1/2" fingernail bowl gouge and the extra long multi tip hollowing tool.

SOV-C10 Sovereign Collet Adapter 3/8" (10mm)

• The SOV-C10 presents a 3/8" aperture making a fast hold for 1/4" bowl gouges and fingernail bowl gouges. It also matches 1/4" spindle gouges, fingernail spindle gouges and long & strong spindle gouges. 

SOV-C13 Sovereign Collet Adapter 1/2" (13mm)

• The SOV-C13 has the widest aperture for tools made from round section at 1/2" diameter and is perfectly aligned to take 3/8" bowl gouges and fingernail bowl gouges, the 1/2" spindle gouge , fingernail spindle gouge and the long & strong spindle gouge, as well as the Turnmaster, Spiralling System and Texturing Tool.

SOV-TC Sovereign Threaded Coupler

• This accessory is required when joining Sovereign handles together either for a custom length or when using the SOV-EXT Sovereign handle extension.

SOV-SH Sovereign Side Handle

• The Sovereign Side Handle delivers that extra stability by providing a horizontal screw-in appendage for extra holding postions. The knurled pattern provides additional grip. 

SOV-CW Sovereign Counter Weight

• The Sovereign Counter Weight is a useful accessory to vary the weight balance in the handle. Unscrew the end cap and insert the counter weight into the hollow shaft of the handle.

SOV-EXT Sovereign Extension Handle

• The Sovereign Handle Extension is a useful addition to the range of accessories. This 4" extension adds length to any sovereign handle.
